About

Hi Travelers,

about_meHow are you today? Looking for the best travel deal around? Me too.

You see, being a savvy traveler is more crucial today than before. With all travel websites offering different deals trying to grab customers’ attention, we simply do not know what to choose. Worse, if we stick to one website, how do we know if we are getting the best deals around?

I like traveling as well. I enjoy the feeling of being free and venturing out to places I have never seen before, sometimes alone sometimes with friends. Isn’t it exciting to live in one of the best places in the world once in a while?

It all started back in 2007, on my vacation trip to Disney Land. It was a leisure trip after graduation.

There were two of us - and we spent about $1500 each for a one-week trip. We started in Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and back to Tampa. It was a very fun trip.

We had it all planned out two months in advance. From accomodation, airfare, transportation - we didn’t have cars back then - to food, everything was on the planner.

Although the planning made everything predictable, I realized that we could have gotten bigger savings had we known little tips and tricks that could have made the trip more enjoyable yet budgetary.

Next in 2008, I made an unexpected stop in Hong Kong. Equipped with little language skills and tons of excitement, I re-routed my flight that was originally a direct flight from Singapore to Vancouver.

The stop was meant for three days only. Little did I expect, those three days turned out to be three days of travelers’ nightmare.

I was stuck in Hong Kong airport, missed my connecting flight to Vancouver and had to beg the airline to give me a direct flight Hong Kong to Vancouver. It cost me a fortune! I had to pay double price for a one-way ticket.

Those who say last minute travel is a good deal is a liar.

Had only I checked the weather before I booked the flight, had only I booked through a travel agent, had only I known when to make the necessary visit to one’s country, my story could have been completely different.

A few months ago, I traveled again. The destinations were China, Singapore and Indonesia. I grew up in Indonesia, so the country and language are no stranger to me; however, visiting different city can be a bit challenging if you don’t know the local situation.

This time the trip was much better, as I handed off the responsibility to my father to plan the whole trip. He was well versed with China cities and language - this alone was a big help.

Why did I leave the planning to him? it was because he knew little tips about traveling in China that I didn’t know.

So that’s my stories.

I hope that by reviewing travel sites, I can help you plan your travel.

I’ll be looking forward to hearing when you have your dream travel experience.

Sayonara, Happy Traveling.
