Are You Enjoying the Snow in Sussex, or Would You Prefer to Take a Safari in Kenya?

The first snow of winter 2009 has arrived! Even down on the South Coast where we don’t usually get much snow, it has already started to settle. Naturally the kids are getting their hopes up that maybe school could break up a few days early if the snow continues to fall! Of course it’s not only kids who enjoy it when it snows. I am fast approaching my mid 40’s but I still get a thrill with the first snowfall of winter.
If only it could have stayed away for one more week, then we could have enjoyed a white Christmas. Call me an old romantic, but I still get a tingle at the thought of pulling the curtains back on Christmas morning and seeing that during the night we have had a heavy snowfall and everything has that magical feeling about it.
The reality is that it will probably be blowing a gale with rain gushing against the window and all dark and depressing. Mind you that means I can get our coal fire stoked up and enjoy a cosy afternoon sitting in the lounge watching Eastenders and Coronation Street.
Oh the delights of Christmas, it can’t get much better than this, can it?
Well as it happens it does. I have got all the travel brochures ready to go through to see where I can be heading for my next holiday.
I have such a selection, Safari Holidays, Kenya Holidays, Florida Holidays, Las Vegas holidays, you name the destination, I probably have the brochure.
I love looking through the brochures seeing what sort of adventure I can plan and what sort of hotel I can book. Some of the hotel accommodation is absolutely breathtaking and you can choose to treat yourself to an all inclusive deal. At the other end of the spectrum you could choose to book something completely unique and spend your evenings in a tent enjoying the beautiful night sky. Personally I enjoy my creature comforts and lovely as the night sky may be, I need a proper roof over my head.
Wherever I decide to head off to on holiday, I know I will have a great time and enjoy new experiences.
